This is the fourth iteration of the Chinese New Year series, which started in 2017 with Fire Roosters I. In 2020 the creature of the Chinese Zodiac is the Rat.

The element is metal, the lucky numbers are 2 and 3, and the lucky colours are blue, green and gold.

Hence this tessellation is composed of groups of 3 rats each of 2 colours, with three colours total in blues and greens. The gold colour and metal reference are in the rings and the coins.
